- Made from pressed and high-temperature treated (up to 2300 °C) rayon carbon fiber felt
- Ultra-low thermal conductivity (≤0.25 W/(m·K) at 1000 °C)
- Very low bulk density (0.2 g/cm³)
- High purity available (ash content ≤20 ppm)
- Maximum operating temperature of 2400 °C
